Swissnex is Switzerland's global network for education, research and innovation. We support our partners in international networking and their commitment to the exchange of knowledge, ideas and talent. In doing so, we strengthen Switzerland's reputation as a hotspot for innovation.

The six main Swissnex locations are established in the world’s most innovative regions. Together with around twenty Science Offices and Counselors based in Swiss Embassies, they contribute to strengthen Switzerland’s profile as a world-leading innovation hotspot.

  • Creative industries with links to education, research and innovation

Swissnex is an initiative of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation and is part of the Swiss government's external network, under the leadership of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. It cooperates closely with other Swiss actors abroad, including embassies and consulates general, Presence Switzerland, Swiss Business Hubs, Switzerland Tourism and Pro Helvetia offices abroad.

Swissnex's activities are based on a cooperative approach and on public and private partnerships and funding.
