Recognition procedure at SERI

Find out how to submit an application for recognition or level certificate of your foreign professional qualifications on SERI's online portal. Follow the instructions step by step.

  • We are currently receiving an exceptionally high number of applications, which is causing significant delays in processing.

  • Any contact by email or phone disrupts our workflow and significantly delays the processing of all applications.
  • You will be notified as soon as your application has been reviewed or if further information is required.

Instructions

  • Create a CH login account on the online portal (see Guidelines for registration below)
  • Log in to the online portal with the newly registered CH login account
  • Click on «New application»
  • Fill in information on education, training and professional experience
  • Upload documents:
    • Passport / ID card
    • Qualification subject to recognition (in its original language)
    • Official translation of the qualification if it was issued in a language other than French, Italian, German or English
  • Click on «Submit application»

Procedure

  • SERI will confirm receipt of the application by email.
  • SERI will send a second email within 4 weeks with information on the next steps.
    Note: Please be patient and do not send any emails during this time. This may cause delays.
  • SERI will examine the application as soon as all the required documents have been submitted and the processing fee has been paid.
