BepiColombo: mission to Mercury, the innermost planet

Bern, 18.10.2018 - The scientific exploration of the Solar System is one of the main objectives of the Science Pro-gramme of the European Space Agency ESA. Following up on milestone missions such to Saturn, to Mars and Venus, ESA has been developing the BepiColombo mission to the innermost planet, Mercury.

BepiColombo will help to increase our knowledge of this least investigated planet, shedding new light on the origins and evolution of our Solar System. The Swiss contributions to BepiColombo can be found both in the spacecraft and in the suite of scientific instruments.
