The positive effects of advanced professional education and training on salaries and careers can be seen just one year after qualification

Neuchâtel, 15.01.2019 - Advanced professional education and training enables those with vocational and professional training to complete tertiary level education. In 2016, over 30 000 candidates were working towards an advanced professional education and training qualification. Improvement of one’s labour market position and income are decisive factors in the choice of such training. Just one year after qualification, over half of advanced diploma holders said that their training had had a positive effect on their salary and career opportunities. These are the results of the first survey on advanced professional education and training from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
