This report was drafted as part of the regular reporting process mandated by the Swiss Parliament on Swiss participation in the European Union’s research and innovation programmes and initiatives. This report provides the most important facts and figures on Switzerland's participation in the:
- Horizon 2020 package over the entire period from 2014 to 2020: This package comprises the 8th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020, the Euratom Research and Training Programme (Euratom RTP) and the research infrastructure International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).
- Horizon Europe package from January 2021 to October 2023: This includes the 9th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe, the Euratom RTP, ITER and the newly launched Digital Europe Programme (DEP) as well as the respective Swiss transitional measures for these programmes and initiatives.
