In this report, SERI examines scientific publications produced by the Swiss research community during the period 2008–2020. The analysis provides indications of the strengths and weaknesses of Swiss research activities and draws comparisons with other countries, between institutional sectors and between Swiss regions. This edition contains two new chapters: one devoted to Open Access publications and one covering quantum publications.
