According to Article 5 of the underlying Ordinance (FIPBV) , SERI can grant lump-sum contributions of 10’000 CHF for the preparation of a project proposal as formal coordinator upon request.
Scope: This applies to collaborative projects based on calls listed in the main work programmes under Horizon Europe, Euratom and the Digital Europe Programme. It does however not apply to projects under co-funded or institutionalised European partnerships. Coordination grants are not awarded for ERC Synergy Grants either.
Conditions: The project must have been positively evaluated, i.e. it would have been funded if the programme budget had been sufficient (above threshold). However, it does not necessarily have to be funded. In addition, the coordinator must be active as a research partner; no contribution is granted for a purely coordinating role without any research activity.
