Opportunity Grant 2021
The opportunity grants support bottom-up initiatives of researchers from Swiss universities, universities of applied sciences, universities of teacher education, and public research institutes, linked to specific events or incidents in China (incl. Hong Kong and Taiwan), Japan, South Korea and member states of ASEAN.
These research-based initiatives aim at increasing the visibility of Swiss science, technology and innovation abroad. The events or incidents can be large public happenings (e.g. Olympic Games, international or national exhibitions/biennales), major environmental events (e.g. implications of a typhoon, earthquake or tsunami), or the launch of a new policy (e.g. new impactful agriculture policy). The call is open to all scientific disciplines including social sciences and the humanities.

Research Partnership Grants 2021 – Leading House for the Latin American Region
The aim of the Research Partnership Grants (RPGs) is to strengthen or initiate a scientific exchange between Swiss and Latin American researchers and institutions. They can be used to develop joint project proposals to be submitted to large funding agencies in Latin America, Switzerland, and Europe.
Budget: CHF 10’000 to CHF 25’000

Japanese – Swiss Young Researchers’ Exchange Programme
Doctoral students (and in exceptional cases post-doctoral and Master students) from Swiss universities, universities of applied sciences and public research institutes are invited to apply for these grants which will cover travel costs and a monthly living allowance for a research stay at a Japanese university or research laboratory. The call is open to all scientific disciplines including social sciences and humanities.

European Space Agency (ESA) - Continuously Open Research Announcements (CORA)
ESA research announcements are the official access routes for institutional users to use research facilities managed by ESA's Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration. The Science Department of ESA’s Human Spaceflight and Exploration Directorate recently undertook an extensive exercise to create a new strategy, focusing on a set of newly-defined goals to positively shape its research programme and maximise research.
