This is the first scientifically conducted data survey to determine the costs and benefits of apprenticeship training in two-year VET programmes from the perspective of host companies. The productive output of learners enrolled in two-year programmes for the Federal VET Certificate generally surpasses the costs incurred by the host companies that train them.
