The steady globalisation of working life has made foreign language skills increasingly important in many occupations. With the adoption of the report of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER), the Federal Council has committed itself to encouraging the acquisition of foreign language skills in vocational education and training.
